Geotube® technology has a proven record in dewatering a wide range of sludge from a wide range of industries; Municipal Waste water, mine sediment, contaminate wastes, food processing. This same technology can also be utilised in the aquaculture waste management systems.

Tencate Geotube®, dewatering technology can be used in marine farming systems to dewater solid waste and reduce nutrient loading in a filtrate. Waste from undigested feed and feces are delivered to the surface with a Mortality Retrieval System where it is collected in a batch tank. Polymers are then added to the sludge which is pumped to the Geotube®. Solids bind together (flocculate), water separates and is released through the Geotube.
 
The Geotube® will capture up to 95% of all solids and retain valuable nutrients that can be used as a fertiliser or other nutrient source.

Geotube® dewatering technology can also be used for desludging of waste ponds at processing plants and for contaminated waste from net washing operations.
