| Roof Venting
Metal roofs are used extensively throughout the world in all climates for functional and architectural purposes on commercial and domestic properties. For buildings to be durable, their design and construction must suit local climatic conditions, including temperature, humidity, rainfall and interior climate. For example in cold regions, condensation is a major concern while in other regions noise control is important. Installed between the roof underlay and the metal sheathing, Enka-Vent functions as expansion and ventilation layer and allows the evaporation of penetrated rainwater and condensation. It also functions as a sliding plane for movements of the metal sheathing due to temperature differences. At the same time it avoids capillary water transport between the roof underlay and metal sheathing. Enka-Vent acts as an "anti-noise layer", reducing the drumming noise of the rain considerably. |
